"Having known Paul Watkins for some years as a local builder, we were aware of his creative flair as we had often admired his home as we drove past it. It demonstrated his love of timber and its creative application. So when we were extending our outdoor space we engaged Exceed Building & Design for our project.
Though we gave him free rein, Paul always discussed his ideas every step of the way; our only request was that he use recycled materials where possible. He had creative suggestions for the use of a variety of materials which resulted in giving the outdoor area an industrial feel softened by the use of beautiful timbers and strategic lighting. In the Milton-Mollymook area you can find many builders but we readily gravitated to Exceed Building & Design knowing that the point of difference would be creativity in both design and choice of materials. We knew this build was unfolding into something special as it progressed – and we were not disappointed. Our home now looks more balanced, solid and substantial, and though it undoubtedly provides greater privacy, it also creates the feeling of open space despite being in a suburban area. It has added enormously to both the function, form and enjoyment of our home. We love it and so do all our friends and family!!!"

We were very impressed with the high quality of work and creative elements in the design that Exceed Building provided for our renovations. Paul was able to do jobs that other builders had shunned at. The 3D design software that Exceed Building uses was able to give us a good picture of what things would look like and conform with the building requirements. Spending the time initially before the build began going through the design using the 3D software avoided time wasting and reverse workflows. It made sense to us to use Paul to do both the design and the build because he used his experience as a builder to create a design that worked. Any problems or changes were worked out in the design phase so that was an advantage to everyone involved. We found that Paul was involved with the build every step of the way and there wasn’t that distance that you sometimes get with projects. He was on hand and was always responsive and approachable if there was anything we needed to discuss. We really think that Exceed Building gave us an excellent end product.
